"When in the course of human events...

It's interesting to me that people who are elected by people seem to believe that they can override the beliefs/opinions of their electorate. They are, indeed, behaving like superior beings. Hopefully, in the fullness of time, those in charge will realise that they are not omnipotent and overreach themselves. Once the destructive point has been reached (and I believe it has now), then a downfall is inevitable. This is an excellent piece, Bernie, and I hope the downfall comes sooner than expected and in an unusual and unpredictable way!

I think it is surely coming Jenny and I think much sooner than expected but I'm also sure we aren't ready for it. If we aren't to just repeat the same cycle all over again, as has always been the case in history, we need for everyone to understand that governments are at their very best a highly debatable necessary evil.
