Plan A
Not long ago I posted about Nick Hogan. He is still making news and is still speaking a great deal of sense. This man is capable of getting the law scrapped. One man? Well he can only do it with a lot of support but he can do it.
Consider;
He is breaking the law on a daily basis I believe. He is still allowing smoking in two pubs that he owns in Bolton.
He is getting publicity because of this.
He is getting support from those against the ban, both smokers and non smokers.
He can't be allowed to continue to openly flout the law.
If he gets to court a big part of his defense will be to expose the bullshit science and other government claims that supposedly justify the law.
So the Bolton Council will not want him to get a court case.
Isn't this exsquisite?
Like savoring a really fine Cuban. I am watching this with great amusement.
Nick is insisting that he wants his day in court. I support him utterly.
On that day we must get hundreds, if not, thousands of people to the court. Everyone, smoker or not, who gives a damn about the freedom to decide what you can do with your own property should be there.
We will be Hogan's Heroes just as he is ours.

Yes - he is a hero - he has the courage to stand up against something he believes is entirely unreasonable. I hope Nick Hogan and others like him get plenty of coverage and where better than in a courtroom?! If smoking within a pub is a criminal offence, it has to reach a court sooner or later! Great!

The council workers would not know who to start arresting and fining! This could be a good offensive! However, we'll have to wait to see what cases actually make it into a court. The authorities do not realise, at present, just how serious this issue is.

Does anyone else find the lack of news reporting on the subject in the newspapers to be amazing? As I write (on Sunday 8th July) I only found one (admitedly sympathetic) piece in the S Telegraph magazine and nothing at all in the other papers I skimmed. Do you think there is a gag in place on editors???
Also has anyone noticed how old some of the itmes are on the freedom2choose website?

Jonathan I don't find it strange that the MSM isn't reporting much in the way of resistance. They are part of the modern day establishment or, if you prefer, the ruling class. When I was growing up this was the aristocracy. Today it is full of those with a collectivist mindset. ASH puts out the trash and the media dutifully feeds it to us. That is not to say that most people who are not of the ruling class also believe the same stuff but that is the intention of these people. They control much of what goes into state education and much of what gets passed into law. But just because the rest of us don't have a "voice" doesn't mean we don't have anything to say.
